The Midwest's Original 50's and 60's Rock n' Roll Band

Mickey Lynnes

Mickey Lynnes is the only original member of The Thundermen still in the band from 1959!  He has been playing drums and singing with them from the beginning. His style of drumming  is right out of the 50's and 60's, playing like drumming greats J.I. Allison of Buddy Holly and the Crickets and D.J. Fontanna, Elvis Presley's drummer, not to mention Ringo Starr. Mickey's singing abilities are just as great as his drumming. Mickey can sing a wide variety of songs, ranging from 50's rockabilly, 60's pop, and country. He is best known however for his excellent slow song vocals. Mickey can sing slow songs with the best of them. His singing is very reminicent of Bill Medley's with the Righteous Brothers. When not playing with The Thundermen, Mickey can be found doing his one man band show in the area or playing with Two Way Street, a two piece band with his son Tim.
