The Midwest's Original 50's and 60's Rock n' Roll Band

JohnTrygstad

John Trygstad has been playing Keyboards/Bass with The Thundermen since 1990. Before that he played with Mickey Lynnes and other former Thundermen in various bands during the 70's and 80's. It is hard to put a label on John's style of piano playing but it is certainly excellent! John can wail on a piano like Jerry Lee Lewis or play great melodies with his keyboard on slow songs. John also has a singing voice to match his playing. John sings many rock n' roll favorites with The Thundermen, his most requested song being "Bread and Butter" by the Newbeats. He can sing high notes like Frankie Vallie of the Four Seasons. What makes John very unique is his ability to play bass and keyboard at the same time. John uses half of his keyboard for regular piano playing and the other half is bass guitar. He is a wonderful asset to The Thundermen because of his keyboarding talent. When not playing with The Thundermen, John does a one man piano show called Piano Man to Go.
